This section of our website is for Veterans who have questions about their benefits or who need to find resources to assist them in recieving those benefits.

I would like to clear up something for a lot of Veterans. I have heard many Veterans state that the VA doesn't want to pay them because it costs too much or some other ridiculous reason. The reason a lot of VA claims are denied is simply because a Veteran has not proved their case.

The VA has laws, rules and regulations that govern exactly how they complete every step. There is even a stipulation that states and I'm paraphrasing; "the VA should approach every case with the mindset that the veteran IS ENTITLED to what they are asking for".

With that in mind, I have compiled a lot of information for veterans here and links to even more information. If you are a Veteran it is your responsibility to take the time to research and ensure you have documented your case thoroughly. There are numerous groups out there that can help such as the VFW, DAV, AMVETS, etc. Many of these organizations have offices inside your local VA Hospital.

Trust me if you use these resources and all your documentation is good to go, the VA cannot deny your claim because "they don't like you" or "your claim costs too much money". There isn't a Veteran's claim out there that will break the bank of the US Government.

I know this may sound harsh coming from a fellow Veteran, but you can either, "whine about why the VA is denying your claim" or "suck it up and do your homework", this way they can't say no. If I can be of assistance to any Veteran who isn't sure what the next step is or are having problems finding the right information, please email me.

Now, First Things First

There are two publications as a veteran you should become very familiar with. The first is the United States Code Title 38(U.S.C Title 38) Veteran's Benefits. Basically, the United States Code is the law of U.S. Government. Title 38 governs Veteran's Benefits.

The second publication is the Code of Federal Regulations(CFR) Title 38 and it is a companion to the United States Code Title 38. The CFR Title 38 is basically the regulations governing the laws set forth in U.S.C Title 38. For example, U.S.C Title 38 establishes disability compensation and sets forth amounts. The CFR Title 38 contains the rating schedule which determines what percentage you are granted.
